The lottery data is public. Most players just don't know where to find it — or how to use it. ScratchBest does both, every single day.

The Scratch-Off Problem Nobody Talks About

Most people pick scratch-off tickets by gut feeling — lucky numbers, whatever looks good at the counter. Official lottery sources publish useful game facts such as prize structures, published odds, and remaining prize counts, although available fields and update timing vary by state. ScratchBest organizes the available public data and labels calculations separately from official source fields.

ScratchBest regularly refreshes that data and provides rankings that make games easier to compare. The calculations support comparison; they cannot predict an individual ticket.

⚙️ How We Rank Tickets

🏆

Remaining Prize Pools

Remaining prizes are evaluated in context with the original prize distribution and, where modeled, estimated remaining ticket inventory.

📊

Ticket-to-Prize Ratios

Estimated remaining ticket inventory is a ScratchBest model output, not an official retailer inventory count.

💵

Expected Value Scores

Starting and current expected-value calculations are comparison tools, not guarantees of profit.

🎯

Top Prize Availability

The result: a leaderboard based on available source data and clearly identified ScratchBest calculations.

Who ScratchBest Is For

  • You buy scratch-offs regularly and want to stop wasting money on dead-end tickets
  • You love data and want to know why one ticket beats another, not just which one to pick
  • You want to filter by price point, prize tier, or state — and see the math behind it
  • You're tired of buying a ticket only to find out the top prizes were claimed months ago

ScratchBest won't make scratch-offs a guaranteed profit. But if you're playing anyway, you might as well use the data.

Why This Was Built

This started as a personal frustration. After reading about groups who applied statistical analysis to lottery games and walked away with real profits, the question became obvious: why isn't this data organized somewhere useful?

State lottery sites technically have the info — but it's scattered across dozens of game pages, refreshed inconsistently, and completely unranked. Useful data made useless by poor presentation. So we built the tool that should have already existed.

🔓 Ready to Go Deeper?

Free provides public starting-data rankings. Pro adds protected current-state and target-prize filters for deeper comparison. No filter changes the odds of an individual printed ticket.

  • 🎰 Filter by odds of winning $100, $500, $1,000+
  • Find "overdue" games statistically behind claim rates
  • 💰 Track unclaimed million-dollar prizes
  • 📈 Best odds-to-price ratio across every game
