What “updated” means

“Current” means ScratchBest has accepted the latest source information under that state’s collection method. It does not mean real-time ticket sales or retailer inventory. Some lotteries publish changes daily; others publish an updated source version on their own schedule.

Official data vs. ScratchBest calculations

Game facts, published starting odds, and reported remaining prizes come from lottery sources. Rankings, estimated remaining ticket inventory, and Current Expected Value are ScratchBest calculations based on the latest available source data.

Why source dates differ by state

Each lottery controls what it publishes and when. A later check can correctly show the same reported data date when the source has not published a change. The table separates the latest reported data from the time ScratchBest last checked it.

Retailer inventory is not known

ScratchBest cannot see which tickets are stocked or sold at a particular retailer. Estimated remaining-ticket figures are model outputs, not official inventory counts. Read the methodology for calculation details.
